IATF recommends NCR Plus to stay under GCQ until July 15
MANILA, Philippines — The government’s COVID-19 task force has recommended that the National Capital Region Plus be kept under general community quarantine (GCQ) until July 15.
In a taped meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, Health Secretary Francisco Duque III presented the recommendations for the July quarantine classifications made by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases’ (IATF).
The IATF recommended that Metro Manila, Rizal, and Bulacan be placed under GCQ “with some restrictions” and Laguna and Cavite under GCQ “with heightened restrictions” from July 1 to 15.
The five areas make up the NCR Plus.
Other areas recommended to stay under GCQ for the whole month of July are the following:

Cagayan Region (Region 2)
Santiago City Isabela Nueva Vizcaya Quirino
Calabarzon (Region 4A)
Batangas Quezon
Western Visayas (Region 6)

Northern Mindanao (Region 10)
Iligan City
Soccsksargen (Region 12)
General Santos City Sultan Kudarat Sarangani Cotabato South Cotabato
Caraga

Meanwhile, the following areas were recommended to be placed under the stricter modified enhanced community quarantine from July 1 to 15, 2021:
