PNP logs 214 new COVID-19 cases; total number of infections now 26,059

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday registered 214 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the overall number of cases to 26,059.

Of this number, active cases are at 1,942 according to the daily tally of the PNP Health Service as of June 15.

The PNP also recorded 137 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recoveries to 24,046.

The death toll, meanwhile, remains at 71.

Health experts earlier said the total COVID-19 cases in the country has reached 1,322,053 with 59,096 active cases and 1,240,112 recoveries. The death toll as of Monday, June 14, was 22,845.
