Construction worker nabbed in Oriental Mindoro buy-bust

The group Bayan Muna decried that one of its organizers was arrested, while the Philippine National Police reported one officer was hurt due to tension at a Bonifacio Day protest along Recto Avenue in Manila.
CITY OF CALAPAN — A construction worker was arrested in a buy-bust operation Saturday afternoon in Victoria town in Oriental Mindoro province, according to a report from Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan (Mimaropa) police office.
Rexcel Rotoni, 27, a resident of Barangay (village) Masipit in this city, was arrested by Victoria police while selling a sachet of suspected shabu (crystal meth) to a poseur buyer for P500 at 1 p.m. in Barangay Antonino.
Police also seized two sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 0.220 gram and worth P1,500.
The arrested suspect is now under custody of Victoria police while a charge for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act 2002 is being prepared.
