MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police tallied on Sunday its 61st death from the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
Gen. Guillermo Eleazar, chief of the PNP, said a 39-year-old policeman assigned to the Rizal police tested positive for COVID-19 on May 10, and had difficulty in breathing and a fever.
The policeman, who also had chronic kidney disease and was undergoing dialysis, died last Sunday.
