MANILA, Philippines — Minors aged 15 to 17 years old and senior citizens above 65 may leave their homes to register for the Philippine Identification System, said the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF).

In its resolution, the IATF said the registration for the national ID “is an essential government service and in support of the vaccine deployment.”

Thus, these age groups were allowed to go to the registration centers of the Philippine Statistics Authority for their biometrics data.
