PNP logs 122 new COVID-19 cases

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday said that it has logged 122 new COVID-19 cases among its officers, bringing the total number of infections to 19,850.

The PNP said in a Facebook post that as of April 27, its health service also recorded 176 recoveries, bringing total recoveries to 17,986.

On the other hand, no new deaths have been reported leaving the death toll at 55.

The PNP currently has 1,809 active cases of COVID-19 infected officers.

Meanwhile, the country’s total number of infections stands at 1,013,618, with 71,675 currently active cases, 925,027 total recoveries, and a death toll of 16,916.
