Over 200,000 healthcare workers complete COVID-19 vaccination

MANILA, Philippines — Over 200,000 healthcare workers nationwide have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, vaccine czar Sec. Carlito Galvez Jr. reported on Wednesday.
In a House briefing conducted by the trade and health committees Wednesday, Galvez told lawmakers that a total of 209,456 healthcare workers have received the second dose of the vaccine.
Galvez added that the government has so far administered 1,562,563 COVID-19 vaccine doses – 989,703 to healthcare workers, 132,948 senior citizens and 180,315 individuals with comorbidities.

Galvez previously said the government is expected to receive at least 13 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines of various brands in the second quarter of the year.
