MANILA, Philippines — The University of Santo Tomas (UST) has issued a show-cause letter to another senior high school student for joining the mass organization Anakbayan.

Under UST’s Code of Conduct, students are allowed only to join or form student organizations duly recognized by the university and “whose objectives uphold [its] mission and vision … ”

The student was not identified.

Earlier, UST dismissed senior high school student Datu Ampatuan Jr. for his membership in Anakbayan. He will not be allowed to enroll next semester or be issued a certificate of good moral character. —Jodee A. Agoncillo
