5 construction workers, caught in the act using meth, arrested in Albay town

LEGAZPI CITY—Five men were arrested after they were caught in the act using shabu, or crystal meth, in a house at a remote village in Camalig town, Albay province on Friday (Jan. 8), police said.

Maj. Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said policemen responded to a call from a villager about a meth session ongoing in a nipa hut owned by one Charlie Moral at the village of Quirangay around 1 p.m.

The police raiding team caught Charlie  Moral, 42; Ruel Ortonio, 34; Harley Manrique, 33; Ronald Paulo, 40; and Zaldy Balon, 42, while using meth.

The men, all construction workers, were detained pending the filing of charges against them.
