Appointments body OKs nomination, promotion of 52 AFP officers
MANILA, Philippines—The Commission on Appointments confirmed the appointments and nominations of 52 officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines on Wednesday (Dec. 9).
Rear Admiral Ramil Roberto Enriquez, head of the Western Command, which has jurisdiction over Philippine territory in the Kalayaan Island Group in the West Philippine Sea, has been confirmed as vice admiral.
Brig. Gen. Eugenio Hernandez, deputy chief of staff for retiree and reservist affairs, was confirmed as major general.
The AFP’s internal auditor chief, Brig. Gen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, a Medal of Valor recipient, was also confirmed as major general.
