Lineman critical after being electrocuted in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY –– A lineman was injured after being electrocuted while fixing the power lines in this city on Tuesday morning.

Lesley Capus, head of corporate communication of Albay Power and Energy Corporation, said Redentor Talde was fixing the power lines inside the Philippine National Police’s Camp Simeon Ola around 9 a.m. when the incident happened.

He was taken to a private hospital and is now in critical condition, Capus said.

On Monday, a 53-year-old lineman, Hermes Mayor, died after he accidentally fell off a ladder.

They were working to restore the power lines in Albay downed by Supertyphoon “Rolly” (Goni).
