Bohol security guard arrested, yields 10 grams of meth

The group Bayan Muna decried that one of its organizers was arrested, while the Philippine National Police reported one officer was hurt due to tension at a Bonifacio Day protest along Recto Avenue in Manila.

TAGBILARAN CITY—A security guard is facing charges after his arrest during a drug bust at a village here early on Monday (Nov. 9).

Joey Saturos Lorete, 29, a resident of Panglao town, was caught in possession of sachets of shabu, or crystal meth, weighing 10 grams and worth at least P65,000.

Lorete, of the Provincial Security Force, was assigned to the Governor’s Mansion.

Lorete is currently detained at the Tagbilaran City Police Station stockade pending the filing of charges against him.
