BALANGA CITY, Bataan –– The provincial health office registered zero cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday, which local officials said signaled a downward trend since the pandemic began.

Bataan Gov. Albert Garcia said the reprieve could mean that the strict health protocols and the cooperation of the residents were paying off.

Ten more COVID-19 patients have recovered from the disease on the same day, although the province has recorded 2,827 confirmed COVIOD-19 cases since March.

But the governor has cautioned the residents against being complacent to maintain the declining number of COVID-19 cases in the province.
