In an advisory issued Sunday by Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), it warned “SERIOUS FLOODING is expected in low-lying areas and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas” of Occidental Mindoro and Northern Palawan.
Meanwhile, a yellow rainfall warning was raised in the northern portions of Samar and Eastern Samar, and Biliran Island.
“FLOODING IS POSSIBLE in low-lying areas and LANDSLIDES in mountainous areas,” Pagasa said.
A red rainfall warning is usually given when 30 millimeters of rain are accumulated in a span of an hour and is expected to continue for the next two hours.
A yellow rainfall warning means heavy rainfall between 7.5 to 15 millimeters in an hour is observed and is expected to persist for the next two hours.
