MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Wednesday reminded the public that travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic remain in place. BI Commissioner Jaime Morente reiterated that foreign tourists were still not allowed in the country.

The campaign includes petitions for foreign fiancés of Filipinos be allowed to enter the country, Morente said.

Only Filipinos, their spouses and minor children are allowed to enter the country.

Morente stressed that those who were eligible to enter were required to secure an entry visa from Philippine embassies or consulates, prior to their arrival.
