MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will open on Saturday three more bus stops on the north side of Edsa under the Edsa Busway project. The additional median bus stops will be located in North Avenue, Quezon Avenue and Nepa Q-Mart. Prior to this, buses can only pick up and drop off passengers in four median bus stops, namely: Guadalupe, Ortigas, Santolan and Main Avenue. The Edsa Busway is a bus rapid transit system launched by the DOTr and the MMDA in July. A total of 29 bus stops are expected to be installed for the project, 15 of which were already completed, said the DOTr. —Mariejo S. Ramos
