MANILA, Philippines — Two Metro Manila policemen and an employee of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) found positive for illegal drugs have been relieved from their posts and charged.

NCRPO chief Police Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas on Thursday identified two of them as Police Patrolmen Robert Lozano Buenavente and Marcos Guillermo Laggui, both assigned at the NCRPO Regional Headquarters Support Unit (RHSU).

The third, a contractual non-uniformed employee of NCRPO-RHSU, was already dismissed from service.

They were found positive for “shabu” (crystal meth) during surprise drug tests conducted on Aug. 30 for 260 police officers and employees. — (Dexter Cabalza)
