Pagasa: ‘Habagat’ and thunderstorms to induce rain showers
MANILA, Philippines — The southwest monsoon or “habagat” will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Batanes, Cagayan including Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Zambales, and Bataan, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said in its 4a.m. update.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Igme was last spotted 620 kilometers north-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
It exited PAR on Saturday.
