PUVs, trains to resume NCR operations as GCQ starts on Aug. 19 — DOTr

MANILA, Philippines — Trains and public utility vehicles (PUVs) are prepared to serve passengers again as the National Capital Region (NCR) shifts to the less strict general community quarantine on Aug. 19, the Department of Transportation (DOTr) said Tuesday.

Here is a list of the train lines and PUVs that will resume operations during GCQ:

DOTr also reminded operators and passengers of the required safety protocols such as wearing face masks and face shields; body temperature checks; regular disinfection of vehicles and the accomplishment of contact tracing forms, among others.

As of Monday, the Philippines recorded a total of 164,474 COVID-19 cases. This includes 112,759 recoveries and 2,681 fatalities.
