MANILA, Philippines — After receiving many queries from the public, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) reiterated on Tuesday that the number coding scheme remains suspended.

“Suspended po ang Number Coding Scheme until further advise,” MMDA said on Twitter.

MMDA has said the number coding scheme is not being implemented since there are only limited operations of public transportation.

Metro Manila is shifting from modified enhanced community quarantine to general community quarantine (GCQ) starting August 19 until August 31.

Under GCQ, public transportation is allowed to operate but only at a limited capacity of passengers to prevent the transmission of COVID-19.
