73 Chinese nabbed in Cagayan online gambling raid

Seven suspected drug peddlers were arrested while more than P15.8 million worth of "shabu" and smuggled cigarettes were seized in three separate anti-crime operations in Cebu City and Zamboanga City.

TUGUEGARAO CITY — Seventy-three Chinese and three Filipinos were arrested on Tuesday at a hotel in Sta. Ana, Cagayan province, for allegedly engaging in illegal online gambling, police said.

Police Brig. Gen. Crizaldo Nieves, Cagayan Valley police director, said the raid was conducted after a search warrant was issued by a regional trial court in Aparri town. Seized during the operation were 103 desktop computers and laptops. —VILLAMOR VISAYA JR.
