DOH logs 634 new COVID 19 cases in PH; total now at 57,545

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) logged on Tuesday 634 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total to 57,545.

Of the new cases, 302 were tagged as “fresh,” while 332 were “late” cases.

Fresh cases, according to the DOH, are those whose positive results were validated and were released within three days, while late cases are those whose results were validated four days or later.

Meanwhile, the tally of patients who successfully recovered from the disease is now at 20,459 as 88 new cases were recorded.

However, there were also six additional deaths recorded, bringing the country’s death toll to 1,603.
