COVID-19 hits 45 more police officers

Civilians may soon own semi-automatic rifles -- PNP

MANILA, Philippines — The coronavirus disease has infected 45 more police officers, increasing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Philippine National Police to 754.

At the same time, 11 more police officers have recovered from the disease, raising the total number of recoveries to 357.

Meanwhile, fatalities among police officers stood at nine.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the PNP reported 677 probable cases and 1,162 suspects.
