CABANATUAN CITY –– The three residents of Pantabangan town, who contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), were employed by a concessionaire’s contractor and not by the Metropolitan  Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS), the agency’s corporate office clarified.

One of the patients is a contract surveyor, while the other two were described as locomotive operators. MWSS did not identify the concessionaire, nor its contractor.

“The contractor has done contract tracing and has confirmed that the patients had no contact with any MWSS employee for the past 14 days, and has assured MWSS that it will update its ‘Place of Work Report of Illnesses and Diseases’ to the Department of Labor and Employment and the Department of Health,” MWSS said in a statement.
