Occidental Mindoro records 9th COVID-19 case

CITY OF CALAPAN, Occidental Mindoro  — The Provincial Health Office of Occidental Mindoro has confirmed its ninth coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) case on Friday morning in a Facebook post.

The agency said that the patient is a 27-year-old male from San Jose town and a healthcare worker at San Jose District Hospital (SJDH).

Department of Health Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) chief Mario Baquilod confirmed the information to Governor Eduardo Gadiano Friday morning, May 22.

The patient’s swab specimen was collected last May 16 during the expanded targeted COVID-19 testing program of the provincial government held at SJDH.

At present, the patient is asymptomatic and has been in strict isolation since May 16.
