The supply of raw water from Angat Dam for Metro Manila and adjacent provinces has been increased from 46 cubic meters per second to 48 cubic meters per second until May 31 to help address increased consumption amid high temperatures, National Water Resources Board (NWRB) executive director Sevillo David Jr. said.

The 2-cubic-meter-per-second increase in the allocation “shall be considered as a special requirement to sustain the steady supply of water in this time of COVID-19 pandemic and due to relatively high heat index this month of May,” David said. —RONNEL DOMINGO
