The Quezon City Police District has arrested 21 “habal-habal” riders during operations.
Seven were caught on Friday at a checkpoint along Samonte 2 Street in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon, for having back riders, which is prohibited under the community quarantine except when transporting essential services.
Fourteen were arrested for a similar violation on Thursday.
Republic Act No. 4136 prohibits the use of private vehicles, such as motorcycles, to transport passengers or freight for pay. —Mariejo S. Ramos
