3 arrested for selling overpriced alcohol

Police operatives on Thursday arrested three suspects for allegedly selling overpriced alcohol whose supply have run out due to the coronavirus scare.

Agents of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group along with the Department of Trade and Industry personnel caught three suspects in two buy-bust operations.

Suspects Jeffrey Zapanta and Albert Mandap were caught selling online 500-milliliter bottles of Gentle Care ethyl alcohol in Sangandaan, Caloocan City, for P140 instead of the usual price of P61 to P74.

Evangeline Endozo, a saleslady of JKOS Medical Supplies and Equipment, was arrested for selling 60-ml bottles of Green Cross alcohol for P80. —Melvin Gascon
