MANILA, Philippines — The Manila government on Friday made public its social media portal to help citizens of Manila in updating their health conditions to authorities as cases of the coronavirus disease in the country continue to increase.

The COVID-19 app is available through the messenger of Manila Mayor Isko Moreno’s official Facebook page, facebook.com/iskomorenodomagoso.

The online chat contains a questionnaire and hotlines of the Manila Emergency Operations Center (MEOC) and the Department of Health (DOH).

Using the COVID-19 portal, Manila residents may seek medical advice, assessment and information from health professionals of Manila.

Data from Manila Public Information showed that Manila has 10 confirmed cases of the respiratory disease caused by the novel coronavirus. The city also has 41 persons under investigation (PUIs) for COVID-19.

The DOH reported that the coronavirus cases in the country went up to 230 with 18 fatalities and eight who recovered from the disease.
