MANILA, Philippines — Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) are not exempted from the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine and would have to be closed, according to Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles.
At a briefing on Monday, Nograles was asked whether these internet-based gaming operations would be allowed to remain open.
Nograles said POGOs were not discussed during the meeting of the Inter-Agency Task Force, but since they were not among the exemptions, they have to close.
“If we did not talk about it, then closed,” he said.
