LUCENA CITY –– Police arrested a suspected drug pusher in a buy-bust operation here early Tuesday.

Lieutenant Colonel Romulo Albacea, Lucena police chief, said joint police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives caught construction worker Erick Ibañez, 29, after he sold “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover police officer in Barangay Cotta around 7:30 a.m.

Authorities confiscated seven plastic sachets of shabu (crystal meth) worth P12,000 in the street market.

Several informants tipped off the local police about the worker’s illegal activities.

Police found out that Ibañez was a notorious peddler of illegal drugs in the village and nearby areas.
