5 persons under probe for COVID-19 in Albay

LEGAZPI CITY, Albay, Philippines — Health experts in Albay province are closely monitoring five persons under investigation (PUIs) suspected of being afflicted with coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Dr. Rogelio Rivera, Bicol Regional Teaching and Training and Hospital (BRTTH) chief, said in a text message that the patients were admitted to the hospital on Monday.

Rivera refused to disclose other information about the patients.

He said residents should stay at home to avoid getting infected with the disease.

Meanwhile, the BRTTH, the largest hospital in the Bicol region, is in need of face masks and protective suits to handle possible COVID-19 patients.
