QC cops seize P250,000 worth of ‘shabu’

Seven suspected drug peddlers were arrested while more than P15.8 million worth of "shabu" and smuggled cigarettes were seized in three separate anti-crime operations in Cebu City and Zamboanga City.

MANILA, Philippines — Quezon City policemen seized P250,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth)  in separate drug busts on Monday night.

Andrew Nicdao, 19, yielded 25 grams of shabu valued at P170,000 when collared during a buy-bust operation by antidrug operatives from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency around 8 p.m. in Barangay Salvacion.

In an earlier joint operation, the agents confiscated 12 g of shabu worth P81,600 from Robby Ulan, 35; Edwin Tanio, 47; Lester Amolar, 30; and Bryan Canonizado, 24, around 6 p.m. at Calavite Street in the same barangay.
