Gamboa makes minor shake-up in PNP’s key posts
MANILA, Philippines – Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Archie Gamboa has announced another minor shake-up in its Directorial Staff and regional offices’ command, according to the police’s spokesperson.
In a statement on Monday, PNP spokesperson Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac relayed that Brig. Gen. Flynn Dongbo will sit as the Deputy Director for Investigation and Detective Management (DIDM), while Col. Benjamin Villasis was named DIDM’s Acting Executive Officer.
Dongbo and Villasis’ appointments would be effective on Monday also. Other officers who have been reassigned to various Police Regional Offices (PRO) are the following:
Col. Antonio Yarra – Acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration, PRO Calabarzon Col. Cesar Pasiwen – Regional Chief Directorial Staff, PRO Calabarzon Col Nicolas Salvador – Deputy District Director for Operations, Manila Police District Col. Ritchie Mecardo Posadas – Acting Deputy Regional Director for Operations, PRO Caraga Col. Jimili Macaraeg – Acting Deputy Regional Director for Administration PRO Caraga Col. Ceasar Zafiro Tannagan – Acting Chief of Staff, PNP Engineering Service
This movement is the latest in a series of reshuffle made by Gamboa since he was appointed as PNP chief last January 18. According to Gamboa, other revamps should be expected because of retiring generals in the police service.
