5 men nabbed for drugs in Manila

A Korean national wanted for various crimes was captured by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in Taguig City last week, the bureau said on Friday.

MANILA, Philippines — Five suspected drug peddlers were arrested and over P53,000 worth of “shabu” (crystal meth) and ecstasy were seized in separate entrapment operations conducted by members of Manila Police District on Wednesday.

Norman Mendoza, 36, yielded 22 ecstasy tablets with a value of P34,000 to members of the MPD Station 9 drug enforcement unit.

The same team, which is  headed by Capt. Gil John Lobaton, also arrested two suspected drug dealers, Antonio “Batman” Hizon and Luis Moreno, for selling shabu.

Jaypee “Al” de Guzman, 35, and Abigail Resurreccion, 26, were also apprehended for selling and possessing drugs.
