Construction helper electrocuted in Tuguegarao

TUGUEGARAO CITY –– A 20-year-old construction helper was killed by an electric discharge from a service drop wire that came in contact with a work scaffold at 2:45 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 7) in Balzain East village here, police said.

Charlie Baggay of Alcala town had just detached the scaffold and was carrying it aloft when it touched the live wire, electrocuting him, said Police Lt. Isabelita Gano, city police spokesperson.

Bautista, a 48-year-old resident of Libag Sur in this city, was hurt when he was struck by the scaffold./lzb
