LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – A man was arrested for possession of an unlicensed gun in Castilla town in Sorsogon on Monday evening.
Major Jabesh Napolis, chief of the Castilla town police, said Melvin Medalla, 42, kept showing his .38 caliber pistol revolver loaded with three live bullets, while in a drinking session with a friend in Barangay San Rafael at around 7:50 p.m.
Police officers then arrested Medalla after being informed by a concerned citizen.
Police said Medalla is a job order employee of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Castilla town.
