Police seize P68-M worth of ‘shabu’ in Pasay

MANILA, Philippines — Police confiscated P68 million worth of “shabu” or crystal meth while two drug suspects were arrested in Pasay City on Saturday night.

A report from Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesman Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac identified the suspects as Mia Bianca Atendido Churez, 22 and Dave Tajores Realin, 21. Police said Churez is on drug watchlist.

Elements of PNP Drug Enforcement Group (DEG), Pasay City police, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in National Capital Region conducted the buy-bust operation along Apelo Cruz corner Edsa in Barangay 151, Zone 16 in Malibay at 8:30 p.m.

Seized were 10 kilograms of meth, a black bag, cash worth P2,000, and boodle money.

Suspects are detained at PNP-DEG while charges for violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against them.
