Presidential spokesperson Salvador Panelo has dismissed part of the findings of a recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) poll which showed that 44 percent of respondents were satisfied with Vice President Leni Robredo’s stint as cochair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (Icad). Panelo claimed Filipinos who said they were satisfied with Robredo’s performance were “misled” by her “incessant, unrelenting attacks” on the war on illegal drugs. The Palace official told a press briefing that people were only satisfied with Robredo because she was named by President Duterte as Icad cochair, a post she held on to for only 18 days. —JULIE M.
