The Sandiganbayan Sixth Division has denied the bid of Romblon Rep. Eleandro Jesus Madrona to have his graft case dismissed.

The antigraft court denied Madrona’s motion for leave to file a demurrer to evidence in his case involving the allegedly anomalous purchase of P4.8 million worth of liquid organic fertilizer in 2004.

The case stemmed from his decision to award the contract for the purchase of liquid fertilizers to Feshan Philippines Inc. without public bidding. —PATRICIA DENISE M. CHIU
