MANILA, Philippines — The Sandiganbayan Fourth Division has ruled that the evidence against Socorro, Oriental Mindoro Mayor Ma. Fe Villar Brondial is strong and denied the mayor’s plea to file a demurrer to evidence on 10 counts of failing to file her statement of assets liabilities and net worth (SALN) from 1998 to 2007.
Failure to submit SALN is a violation of Section 8 of the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials. —Patricia Denise M. Chiu
