Ex-Courage official nabbed in Laguna

Police anti-narcotics agents in Rodriguez, Rizal arrested three suspected drug traffickers and seized shabu (crystal meth) worth P238,000 in a sting operation early Saturday, Feb. 15.

SAN PEDRO CITY, Laguna, Philippines — A former official of the Confederation for Unity, Recognition and Advancement of Government Employees (Courage) was arrested for murder and keeping firearms in her home.

Antonietta “Tonette” Setias-Dizon, 60, was also accused by the Philippine Army of being a leader of communist movement.

She is a sister of former Integrated Bar of the Philippines national president Rose Setias-Reyes. —Delfin Mallari and Maricar Cinco
