According to the latest reports of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, there were 116,906 road accidents in the National Capital Region in 2018.

A total of 383 accidents resulted in fatalities. The hit-pedestrian collision type posted the highest number of fatal cases at 141 or 36.81 percent of the total. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
