TACLOBAN CITY- A soldier was killed in a clash with New People’s Army guerrillas in Paranas town, Samar on Thursday (June 26.)

The soldier, only identified as Corporal Atencio, together with other members of the 87th Infantry Battalion, were on patrol when they came upon a group of at least 10 guerrillasat the village of Santo Niño, Paranas.
