4 arrested, yield P170,000 in marijuana

MANILA, Philippines—-At least four suspects, including the alleged leader of a drug gang, were arrested and locked up in jail after they were caught with P170,000 worth of marijuana in Tondo, Manila on Friday (June 21).

Seized from the suspects were five marijuana bricks and four sachets of dried marijuana leaves.

Police identified the suspects as Adriel Cruz, 31, aka “Bukol”; Raymart Mendoza, 25; Jimmy Constantino, 35 and Annie Rose Gonzales, 35.

They were arrested during a police operation at Barangay 20 Zone 2 around 11:45 p.m.

Police also seized two motorcycles, mobile phones and P6,000 in cash from the suspects. (Editor: Tony Bergonia)
