According to the latest data from the Philippine Statistics Authority, an estimate of 2.30 million Filipinos worked abroad at anytime between April and September 2018. Of the total, those with existing work contract comprised 96.2 percent or 2.21 million while the rest did not have contracts. —Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
