Local absentee voting: 2,816 ballots collected, so far

MANILA, Philippines – A total of 2,816 accomplished ballots from the local absentee voting have been received by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Most of the ballots (1,364) came from the Philippine National Police, based on Comelec data.

The election body also received 468 ballots from the Philippine Air Force and 463 from the Philippine Army.

Ballots were likewise received from members of the media (132), Comelec employees (130), Department of Education and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (59), among others.

The LAV started last April 29, and ended on May 1. /gsg
