DOH offers tips for beating the summer heat

The El Niño phenomenon, which would likely start to affect the country this May, has a 41 percent chance of reaching a “strong” level from November to January next year.

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) has shared some tips to keep people safe in the intense summer heat.

The heat index recorded on Maundy Thursday hit 49.2°Celcius in Guiuan, Eastern Samar, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration.
