BONGABON, Nueva Ecija, Philippines — A suspected drug peddler was killed in a gunfight with policemen here on Thursday.
Col. Leon Victor Rosete, Nueva Ecija police director, said Xyrus Verances fired at an undercover agent during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Palomaria at around 3 a.m.
Rosete said the suspect was included in the police drug watch list in Cabanatuan City.
Investigators recovered from the suspect a .38-caliber revolver, six sachets of “shabu” (crystal meth) and the P500 marked money. /ee
