MANILA, Philippines — Manila Water has announced that it would implement adjustments in its operations due to the rapid decline of the water level at La Mesa Dam.
In a statement issued on Monday, the company said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services’ (Pagasa) El Niño advisory serves as a warning that the climate condition could pose a threat to Metro Manila’s domestic water supply.
With this, some areas in Marikina, Pasig, Quezon City, Taguig, and Antipolo, San Mateo, Rodriguez, Taytay, and Jalajala in Rizal, will experience “low pressure to no water” during peak demand hours.
